The world is full of Classic Car Dealers, but now, for the first time, you’ll be able to buy a classic Aston Martin from the people who made it in the first place. Aston Martin has gone back to its spiritual home to create a classic car showroom at Newport Pagnell, and has spent the last two years developing the old Olympia building to house their Classic Car offerings. The Olympia building, itself 100 years old and once an integral part of AML’s Newport Pagnell operations, has been fully refurbished and decorated in period style with not just lots of glorious classic Astons (and Lagondas) but displays of memorabilia from the factory heritage collection.

MG may not be what it once was (which you can take either way), but as a marque MG is 90 years old. As part of celebrations for the 90th birthday of MG, there’s an exhibition of MG’s models at the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) offices in London this week, which include a global debut for an electric MG city car. The MG Dynamo Concept is MG’s vision of an electric city car which, say MG, encompasses “the latest in design and engineering technology”.
The new Jeep Cherokee has its official public debut at the 2013 New York Auto Show today with 9-speed gearbox and based on a Fiat platform. Now, with the New York Auto Show about to kick off (which you might reasonably have thought was yesterday after the flurry of activity from Jaguar and Land Rover) we get a full set of photos of the Cherokee and specifications. The new Cherokee sits on the Chrysler/Fiat Compact US Wide platform which gets independent front and rear suspension which, say Jeep, offers great on-road dynamics without sacrificing off-road ability and comes with a 9-speed auto box and a choice – at least in the US – of 184bhp 2.4 litre 4-cylinder or 271bhp 3.2 litre Pentastar V6.
